When the covid 19 pandemic started in Greece, and the first lock-down was applied we had a shortage of face-masks that were needed to keep us safe, so after long years I picked the needles and thread and after watching like a billion of how to videos I started making my own face-masks, from all kinds of clothing I could find in the house, bed sheets, husband's shirts, pillow cases, t-shirts table cloths.. any kind of fabric that matched the guidelines of the WHO was cat and reused to keep us safe - all made by hand since I don't have a sewing machine and every next one became better and better, the first one was made by reusing an old beloved pair of vintage trousers that was my late mothers, and was waiting to get a new life... I keep making face-masks with fresh new beautiful fabrics and some amazing vintage pieces I find, hoping to keep more of my beloved safe from this dystopic situation we are all in, when the pandemic ends, all that are not used will become a sculpture to remind me of this difficult time that I hope none of us will ever find him or herself in ...
